Nacodex consultant
The Nacodex consultant answers engineering questions about your own code, straight from Claude Code. Anyone who uses Claude Code can use it, paid from prepaid credit. Sign in with your wallet to add credit, create a key and see the setup steps.
Ask the Nacodex consultant about your code from your own Claude Code session. Its answers draw on the body of rules behind Nacodex audits. You set it up here: create a key, add it to Claude Code on your computer, then ask your questions there.
Works with Claude Code in a terminal and in VS Code. The Claude desktop chat, claude.ai and Claude Code cloud sessions are not supported: they do not use the setup on your computer.
Set it up
- Sign in with your wallet on this page and add consultant credit.
- Create a key below: your wallet signs a message that says what the key allows (it moves no funds). The key is shown once, inside a line that starts with claude mcp add. Copy that line.
- Paste the line into a terminal on your computer (PowerShell on Windows, Terminal on Mac or Linux, or the terminal in VS Code), not into the Claude Code chat, and press Enter. Claude Code answers that the server nacodex was added. Do this once per key: it adds the consultant to Claude Code for all your projects.
- Restart Claude Code: type /exit, then start it again with claude --continue in the same folder (this keeps your conversation; if you have no earlier conversation there, just claude). A Claude Code session that was already open does not see the consultant until it is restarted.
- In Claude Code, type /mcp: nacodex must be listed as connected.
- Ask in Claude Code, for example: Use the Nacodex consultant to ask why this handler can return twice. The answer comes back in Claude Code after a minute or two.
The line contains your key. Your terminal history and the Claude Code settings on your computer will hold it: keep them private. If a key is lost or shared, revoke it below and create a new one.
If it does not connect
nacodex is not in the /mcp list at all: the line went into a different Claude Code setup (another account on the computer, or another Claude Code settings folder), or Claude Code was not restarted. Run the line in a terminal of the same computer account you start Claude Code from, then restart Claude Code as in step 4.
nacodex is listed but does not connect: most likely the key was revoked or mistyped; it can also be that the service is not reachable for a moment, so try again once. Claude Code does not ask you to sign in again by itself. Create a new key here, run claude mcp remove in a terminal, then paste the new line, then restart Claude Code.
claude mcp list in a terminal shows the same list as /mcp.

Refund unused credit
You can ask for your unused credit back. We refund it by hand, less a fee of 3 %, to the wallet you are signed in with: the wallet that paid for the credit. We never send a refund to any other address, even one named in your message. By default the refund is paid in the currency you paid with (its dollar value). Your wallet signs the request; signing moves no funds. The credit is set aside as soon as you ask and returns to your balance if the request is not approved.

Each fee covers your question and the answer. It is taken from your balance before the work starts. If your balance cannot cover it, nothing runs and nothing is charged.
Send only the part of your code a question needs. Leave out keys, passwords, customer data and internal host names.
